Postby Nersh » Fri Apr 22, 2011 4:36 pm

Hey guys

We took ownership of the new Polo GTi this week and will start development on the car very soon.

Watch this space for latest developments.
Will be going all out with mods...

Software
Downpipe
Intake
Intercooler
Water injection etc

Also looking at options for a bigger turbo as well ;)

Will keep you guys posted....

Bigger turbo? Firstly, good luck with tuning. Bigger turbo in conjunction with OE SC is gonna me a nightmare. Secondly, with a whopping 1400cc displacement, there are limit's to what power you can extract. Farting against thunder bru . . .

We've had the file for this car a while ago already, was just waiting for it to get here.

Why you say big turbo and oem supercharger won't work dude?
With regards to displacement, you're right there limits, but a few years ago who would have thought
of a 1400cc production car pushing out 132kw?

It's all development work so let's hope it all works out.

Good to see you guys have a development car.

I'm sure you will be able to compete with the other tuners now.

Good luck

what power gains are u guys expecting to gain Nershen?, i know frc has a nice file for these cars, with software and intake the make about 180hp, not too shabby for a 1400cc, i think many people underestimate the technology and tuning potential of the 1.4 tsi, i rekon u guys should achieve decent gains with this car, the turbo upgrade will make it a monster.........lets see if uncle Preggie can win his class with this car like he did a few years back with the red polo.....good luck, keep us posted.... ;)

U skeem ?? 20VT and I have already measured and taken the stuff apart . We know exactly what , where and when to do ..

Also , if the tuner does the tuning in-house , on his own - he or she will know ho to match the switch over points ,control the boost bleed and get the transition right .

Oh .. we will show our dyno plots to red line as well .. not trimmed to hid power drops.

Been getting in the mileage on the new car to make sure its all running smooth stock before we start playing with it.

Like the guys have been posting we are going the full Phase 4 route on this vehicle.

Already got a lot of the hardware on the development path.

Starting with Phase 1 this week which will improve the power by 18kw on the flywheel at the coast on a stock car.
