Incorporating a full custom made, light weight aluminium heat shield, large open cone filter with full radius spinning, custom Samco Hose and full stage 2 back pipe to turbo.
They used their flow bench to test the system throughout the development stage comparing it to the OE unit, they managed to create a system that was up to 45% less restrictive than the OE unit.
First run on the standard car with OE airbox gave a reading of 230bhp, with their kit on they got 232.9 bhp. They then put a stage 1 map on the car as this was where they would see the real gains and as expected they did. OE airbox with map made 250bhp with 292 lb/ft torque, with the Pipercross kit installed it made 263.5bhp and 306.6 lb/ft torque a 13.5bhp gain and 14lb/ft increase!!!
